Welcome to the “Principal’s Page.” But most of all, welcome to Goins Elementary School.
At Goins, teaching every child to read, write, and do math at a proficient level is a priority. As each school year unfolds, we will continue our path of success and invite you to continue to support us in many ways. We work very hard to create a positive and successful learning community for all students at Goins Elementary School and are proud of the efforts of students and parents. The success of every child is important to us. Please contact us whenever we can be of assistance. Thank you for all that you do to support us in our efforts!
Amanda Hall, Principal
Parent Participation: Goins is known for the number of parents who attend school events and volunteer in our school. Our PTO works to support us in many ways and have helped us raise the money for SmartBoards, for laptops, for Phonic Ears, and for many classroom trips and projects. We are more successful because of YOUR help. Our PTO meets each month in the Goins Library. We're a friendly, hard-working group. Please come join us!
Visitor Tags: Parents and visitors are always welcome at Goins. Your help and involvement is always appreciated. However, for the safety of everyone in our building, we ask that ALL visitors ALWAYS sign in at the office and wear a visitor tag.
Cold Weather Reminders: Being outside and having the opportunity to run and play at recess helps student attention and focus during the school day. Please be sure your child is dressed for the weather so that they can enjoy playing outside.
Attendance and Tardies: Only absences due to illness or a death in the family are excused. All other absences are considered unexcused. Critical teaching takes place at the beginning of the school day and at the end. Please be sure to have your child here on time in the morning and don't ask to have them excused early unless absolutely necessary. These disruptions affect the learning of not only your child, but the other children in the classroom. Thank you for your help!
